Communicate with General Managers to ensure all equipment is operational.
Daily communication and reporting to Maintenance Manager.
Perform preventive and regular maintenance and repairs to all areas of the hotel.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop and for the security of hotel inventory and assets such as tools, supplies, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on energy management, preventive maintenance and capital planning.
Assist in hotel renovations and other projects, negotiate contracts and ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
Communicate with all hotel department heads to stay informed of maintenance needs and ensure timely responses to requests.
Understand and respond to customers’ needs and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
Carryout preventive maintenance program to ensure facility is maintained and in service for our guests (example: lighting, refrigeration, heating, air-conditioning, water treatment systems and pools).
Maintain and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining green initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school, supplemented by 12 to 18 months of technical school.
Requires minimum of 3+ years of experience in general maintenance or related field.
Requires knowledge of building maintenance to include minor electrical repair, plumbing and routine preventative care of heating and air conditioning systems.
Requires ability to receive verbal and written direction.
Requires ability to be available for “on-call” emergency repairs.
Requires ability to walk and stand during the work shift.
Requires ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout the work week, but may lift 20 – 25 pounds regularly during work shift.
